RAMON CHESÉ
Lawyer and expert in tax law

BSc in Law from the Autonomous University of Barcelona

He started his career in 1995 in the tax department of Barcelona’s Bufete Ribalta, and was later hired to the tax department at Garrigues Abogados in Barcelona in 2000. In 2007, he joined Banco de Sabadell, SA as the director of the tax consultancy for the Banco Sabadell Group, running it, where he remained until 2015, when he was hired as the director of taxation for the Andbank Group based in Andorra. Since 2020 he has been a partner and expert in Spanish and Andorran tax law at the firm Arche Business and Tax Law in Barcelona.

Due to his training, experience and professional curiosity, he has solid expertise and knowledge that goes beyond legal and tax matters in Spain and internationally, and is well versed in both accounting and finance.

In several periods over the course of the years, he has combined working in his profession with teaching in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at the National University of Distance Education (UNED), at the MBA in Hotel Management at the University School of Tourism & Hotel Management at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and for the Postgraduate in Banking Management at the University of Andorra. He has also been a member of the Tax Committee of the Spanish Banking Association (AEB) and of the Andorran Banking Association (ABA), and has published several articles in specialist newspapers and journals.

ALVARO AROLA
Tax lawyer

BSc in Law from Barcelona UniversityHe started his career in 2009 in the Legal Department of AROLA ADUANAS Y CONSIGNACIONES, SL, specialising in special and environmental taxes and customs law.In 2014, he was hired to the Tax & Commercial Department for the law firm BUFETE HABEAS, providing advisory services in general taxation, international taxation and, especially, taking charge of the tax and administrative litigation area, with a very high rate of success.

Based on advising companies on tax matters, he has specialised in legal consultancy for commercial, corporate and contractual law, processing mergers and acquisitions for companies, as well as intermediation in buying and selling companies and group reorganisation to optimise their taxes and resources.

Since 2020 he has been a partner and expert in Spanish and Andorran tax at the firm Arche Business and Tax Law in Barcelona.He undertakes lifelong learning, and has studied several monographic courses taught at CEF Business School (accounting, general taxation and finance).
